Henry called this meeting to encourage younger residents to sit on a number of issue-based councils, but only three young residents came.

Henry is experimenting with measures to improve the service provided.

The water treatment plant at the water treatment plant at the Ochiichagwe'Babigo'Ining Ojibway Nation reserve (also known as the Dalles First Nation) in Northern Ontario, Canada on 14 December 2016. The plant draws is its water from the Winnipeg River, and according to operator Aaron Henry, must remove carcinogens resulting from industrial pollution from the water in addition to other contaminants. The Dalles water plant was only built in 2007, and many First Nations communities continue to have inadequate access to safe water. As part of the Trudeau government’s commitment to address this situation, the Dalles water plant will participate in a pilot project that will allow many of the plant’s operational and water quality parameters to be monitored in real time by operators at a central hub at the Bimose Tribal Council in Kenora, Ontario, about twenty kilometres from the reserve, via an Internet link. Work to provide a dedicated connection to the water plant via an existing tower established by Chad Henry, a resident of the community, is underway.
